The Jeweller

Sydney 2007

Gingerly, she picks up the pearls,
One by one she strings them up.
A work of beauty, she silently marvelled,
As she pondered upon its auctioning value.

A Hobby of Patience

Jervis Bay 2007

A hobby is hard work you wouldn’t do for a living.

A hobby a day keeps the doldrums away.

The Circle of Life

Sydney 2007

The circle of life,
And it moves us all.
Through despair and hope,
Through faith and love.
Till we find our place,
On the path unwinding.
In the circle,
The circle of life.

Every thing in life has a cycle. It is almost like a ferris wheel with its ups and downs.

We are born, and then we die.
After making our way up to cloud nine, we head back down into the valley of sorrows.
We are cared for by our parents when we are young, and then proceeding to care for them when we are older, before being cared for again by our children.

Everyone has a destination, it’s just the path we choose to tread that determines how our life turns out to be. Sure sometimes we choose the path that has more sorrows, but what is sorrow without any joy? Can you understand sorrow if you’ve never known joy? How much of sorrow can you say you’ve known then if you have never experienced happiness? Isn’t that an irony?

Besides, every thing is transient. When you have your bouts of depression, you will be sure you will get a moment of estacy as well. And if you think that you have reached the lowest ever in your life, fret not, for now the only way is up.
