Round and Round We Go

Sydney 2007

Forever suspended in fantasy.

Do you feel sometimes that you are detached from reality? Like you are watching a movie from the side, as every thing seems to zoom past you at the speed of light?

How often do you take time off to stop and smell the roses? Or stand/dance in the rain as you feel the raindrops dropping kisses on your skin? How about just sitting somewhere and enjoy the patterns the clouds create?

How often then do you take time off for yourself to indulge in some fantasy while being rooted in reality?

Together

Jervis Bay 2007

I look forward to the day, when it’s just you and me,
Relaxing along foreign shores.
Together we’ll travel, together we’ll hike,
Entralled and fascinated by all great sights.

Fight Or Fate?

Jervis Bay 2007

Left behind or washed ashore,
What say you in your own life’s lore?
Would you choose to live life to fate’s own choice,
Or be your own future’s voice?

Percussion

Sydney 2007

To me, the percussion is a poorly known group of instruments. No it does not only contain the drum set, the ever so piece of instrument that makes every one sigh in awe just because it requires good eye-hand-foot coordination. It consists instead a wide variety of instruments, from the congos to the bongos, the cymbals to the timpani, the xylophone to the chimes, the cowbells to the agogo bells and so much more. That is why to me, a true Percussionist is one who is able to play all of the instruments, not just specialise in one of them.

Sure it would be good to be an expert in one, not just a jack of all trades and master of none. But to me, what is worthy of admiration, is when he or she is able to play all of the above with a certain level of expertise apart from what he or she specialises in. That to me, ladies and gentlemen, is what I call a true Percussionist.
