Life’s Journey

New Zealand 2004

I journey throughout life, not knowing where I might land.
With each little step I take, it’s a life learning experience for me.
It may be by road, it may be by the sea.
But without all these learning journeys,
Life would not be the same for me.

So onward I go, with determined strides.
Nevermind the dangers, the sadness and the strife.
Because I know that at the end of my life’s journey,
I am a better person, a better me.

Fairy Tales

New Zealand 2004

Do you believe in fairy tales? While we were brought up with the many stories during our childhood, hearing those stories and watching them on Disney, I’m sure some time in our lives, we would dream of our Prince Charming and our ‘Happily Ever After’ ending, especially us girls. But as we grew older, we started to realise that those indeed were just fairy tales, existing only in our fantasy world.

Still, I would not say that they were useless stories to spice up our childhood. To me, they just showed us how perfect a relationship or love can be, and that in life, we can strive to work towards that. Quarrels and squabbles are just part and parcel of any relationship that would help both parties understand each other better and bond tighter once resolved. And one must note that quarrels and squabbles are defined by both parties; what may deem to be a squabble to one may be seen as a quarrel to another.

Besides, watching the older Disney cartoons once more brings back lovely childhood memories, which I so enjoy. And I must say that the songs are always very lovely! So, you can hand me my dose of “Little Mermaid”, “Beauty and the Beast” and others any time =)

New Zealand: Architecture

New Zealand 2004

I marvel at the abilities of men, who were able to construct such wondrous buildings in the past, that is able to withstand the sands of time, for all to see. And so, I just love to bask in the beauty of architecture.

Paint my world,
Colour the skies.
